Federal Government Of Nigeria To Shut Down Lagos Abuja Airports From Monday

Things have gotten out of hand that the leaders of the world are discovering strategies to beat the outbreak of this deadly Coronavirus which started in China and started spreading all over the world. However Nigerian government has joined other leaders of the world in taking active steps to fight this virus.




From Monday March 23, the Federal Government has declared it will shut down the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos; and Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja to contain the coronavirus pandemic.


Nigeria has already recorded 22 confirmed cases of the deadly virus. The Director-General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, Capt. Musa Nuhu, disclosed this in a statement.


Three other international airports in Kano, Enugu and Port Harcourt shut for flight operations were shut on Saturday, leaving the two most important airports in the country open.
