Patrons at a restaurant on the corner of 2nd and 7th Avenue were sprayed with bullets just after 1am during a drive shoot at Melvin Johannesburg. A very awful way of starting a new year.
Gauteng Police Spokesperson Brig Mathapelo Peters said that a BMW SUV approached from 7th Avenue suddenly gunshots were released as they drove along killing patrons around 1am. 8 people were shot.Two died at the spot while 6 were injured and they were rushed to the hospital as they were in critical condition.
The women shot dead were between the ages of 30 and 40 years. The Gauteng Police are working hard to unravel this mystery and equally trap the person or persons involved in this senseless new year shootings.
