The people alleged to be disguising as mad people in Iseyin, Iseyin Local Government Area of Oyo State have been reportedly fled sequel to community’s resolve that aimed at being hostiled with anyone found on suspicious movement.
The decision was consequent upon the statement credited to the pregnant woman caught on polythene bag that contained enough human faeces and whom the angry mob consequently set ablaze.
In an encounter with a community member whose identity remained anonymous lamented that the suspected people alleged to be disguising as mad people have been fled from the community following the inhabitants’ resolve to deal ruthlessly with any one caught on suspicious movement.
He said on Tuesday, August 10 that the woman caught with polythene bag that contained human feaces recently had disclosed that she and some others were sent to Iseyin and its environs by undisclosed person from Ifo in Ogun State to get enough human feaces for money making rituals.
He added that the statement credited to the woman infuriated the angry mob and had since then been on surveillance to watch and monitor anybody on suspicious movement, adding that they could not set their eyes on some people assumed to be suspected mad people.
While speaking on reasons that informed the decision, anonymous person said that the decision was to unravel the identity of the ritualists who intended to use the inhabitants’ feaces for money making rituals.
He also said that their resolve was to end the day light robberies, kidnappings, prevalent rituals and other forms of criminality in the community and its environs.
He said the people of the community and most importantly the youths were not to take laws unto their arms, adding that any one caught with no bearing would be handed over to the Law Enforcement Agencies(LEA) for questioning and proper investigation.
He said people visiting the community should know where they are going and ones with inability to trace the places of destination should have addresses in their hands.
He also added that the commercial motorists and motorcyclists have been enjoined to be watchful of passengers taken in and out of the community.
He said they were serious and determined to fish out the people intended to use people of the community for rituals as all religious leaders across the religious divides have been engaged in fervent prayer and fasting to unravel the identities of their representatives and at large end the criminalities.
