In her revelation during the interview she said domestic violence forced her out of her first marriage which lasted for five years.
Before now nobody truly knew her reason of living her marriage.
According to her she never considered divorce as an option but rather believed in the power of prayers that the turbulent period of her marriage would be over with time. She resorted to drawing closer to God and going to church.
Monalisa considered that the birth of a new baby might calm the storm in her marriage but it was all a futile effort. That was when she took the bull by the horn.
