Two people are dead and another person has been left in critical condition following a shooting at a church in White Settlement, Texas earlier this Sunday.
According to NBC News, the incident happened at West Freeway Church of Christ around 10:00 a.m. local time. MedStar Mobile Healthcare spokeswoman Macara Trusty told NBC News that at least two people were found dead at the scene and the third person died on the way to a hospital but was revived before being taken into surgery.
TMZ notes that service was being live-streamed online and even showed the shooter firing at the crowd. A security guard across the way can also be seen lifting his own weapon and firing it off. Mike Drivdahl of the Fort Worth Fire Department told NBC News that the situation has since been “stabilized” and there was no longer an active threat to the community. Police believe the suspected gunman is among the three who were shot, Drivdahl said.
The latest news was that worshippers who were armed helped to gun down the shooter.
What it actually means is that people should go to churches across the United States armed because you never can tell when the attack wilk strike.
