YouTube personality, beauty influencer and makeup mogul Jeffree Star’s has taken to his YouTube account to reveal to his 14million subscribers that thieves broke into his warehouse and carted away makeups valued to be around $2.5m.
In a video posted on Tuesday he told his subscribers that he is working with authorities and FBI to track down the ”black-market makeup dealers” who made away with his products.
In his own words he said; ”One of my stock and shipping facility warehouse was broken into and over $2.5m of products was stolen from me”. This is the biggest theft I have ever experienced in my entire career. This is the biggest hit as a brand. I am still shocked”.
He referred to them as professional thieves while claiming it was an inside job and he thinks it’s someone who temporary worked there that tipped them off. He also alleged that the burglars had entered the warehouse through the roof on March 15, making away with lip liners, palettes and an entire shade of his unreleased Magic Star concealer.
“The last few weeks have been so mentally exhausting but I’m so grateful for all the law enforcement & FBI agents who have been working on my #Concealer heist,” he tweeted.
“We are slowly unraveling all the evidence and finding all the people who are in possession of my products and who their sources are,” he continued in another tweet. “The makeup black market is so twisted and has several layers. I can’t believe something I worked so hard on is floating around all over the world.”
